Most boroughs have network at town hall — and a bus yard, landfill, or pump house that still has no path. If there is power and light on a pole, Cambium point-to-multipoint can often carry cameras, switching, and a gate call box staff release from the desk.
We design for borough and township scale: municipal offices, maintenance buildings and garages, fleet and bus yards, salt domes, landfills and transfer stations, water treatment and pump sites, and community parks. The everyday problem is not another camera at the clerk window — it is getting network, cameras, and door control to property the town owns that never got fiber.
When line of sight exists — from a municipal building to a lighted pole across the lot, or from one yard to another — Cambium cnWave point-to-multipoint carries VLANs to several far drops: a pole camera, a small switch, a Gate Hub call box, and Protect at the lane. Starlink or cellular into a Cambium NSE lands the same pattern at parks and remote corners with nothing to extend from.
Gates belong on the same drawing. G3 Intercom or Reader Pro at the yard, landfill, or transfer-station entrance; Gate Hub on the Cambium path; remote release from an Intercom Viewer at the desk or the UniFi Access app — so staff buzz in the hauler or contractor without driving to the site.
On property the municipality owns, LPR at fleet entrances, maintenance lots, and transfer lanes is a practical layer — plate history on your own road, not the public street grid. Lobby cameras with facial recognition for staff and registered visitors are scoped when the building wants it; policy first, same as schools and storefronts.
The line stays on property boundaries. We do not design intersection LPR on public roads or cameras meant to follow people off municipal land. Community parks are the limited public-scope exception when the town wants audible gunshot detection and AI video for the park itself. Weather enclosures and point-to-point hardware for paths you already own remain available without a full design engagement.
We are not bidding multi-year county contracts or staffing a standing municipal crew. The engagement is design and specification for sites the municipality controls; install goes to facilities staff or a certified integrator you choose or we introduce.
