Camera system design

A camera system is a coverage and recording problem first, a hardware list second. We design for the site, the lighting, the retention you actually need, and the people who will live with the system.

We work on small-to-medium businesses, estates, compounds, and small campuses. That usually means mixed indoor/outdoor coverage, long cable or wireless runs, and a recorder that someone on site can actually operate.

The design starts with the questions that get skipped on a typical bid: what are you trying to see, at what time of day, and what happens when an event is reviewed six weeks later? Pixel density, backlight, IR bleed, and storage are specified in writing — not left as a surprise at commissioning.

Site-driven coverage

Walk paths, entries, vehicle approaches, and blind corners — planned on a drawing, not guessed from a product catalog.

Recording that lasts

Retention, bitrate, and drive layout sized to the cameras you keep — not the cameras a brochure assumed.

Hardware that fits the job

We specify cameras and recorders we would install ourselves. NDAA / supply-chain constraints called out when they matter.

  • Camera schedule with mounting, lens, and purpose
  • Coverage notes tied to a site or floor plan
  • Recorder, storage, and network requirements
  • Commissioning checklist for whoever installs
