Small business
Boardwalk shops, strip malls, professional offices, light industrial, and owner-operated sites — real design, not a shopping-cart camera kit.

PoE switching sized for cameras, intercoms, and door hubs on one VLAN plan.
Small does not mean simple. A boardwalk unit, a strip-mall shop, or one building with a lot out back is still a coverage and network problem.
We work on shore retail, inline storefronts, dealerships, medical and professional offices, and owner-operated sites that outgrew consumer gear. The pattern is the same: the register and front door need cameras; the network closet needs PoE that matches the camera count.
Cisco Small Business switches are a common fit here — buy at CDW or your rep, no cloud license on the switch, VLANs for cameras and office traffic. UniFi when Protect and intercom belong on one console.
Consulting is the engagement. We specify what to buy and how it connects. When someone needs to mount radios and pull cable, we introduce a certified integrator in your area.

What we specify
Design for how the site is used day to day.
- 01
Shops & storefronts
Boardwalk, strip mall, and standalone retail — door, register, and stockroom cameras; intercom when the scope includes visitor screening.
- 02
Network that carries video
VLANs, PoE, and switching on Meraki, UniFi, or Cisco Small Business — sized for cameras and access, not Wi-Fi as an afterthought.
- 03
Doors and gates
Light door and gate work: a handful of openings, a gate, a shop bay. Design on paper; installation to an integrator.
Related consulting: door access & intercom, networking & site links, camera systems.
ROI & efficiency
Small business payback
Professional offices, light industrial, and owner-operated shops usually have the simplest scope — which often means the fastest payback.
- 01
Rekeying elimination
Access control pays back quickly when you rekey more than once a year across several doors. One or two rekey cycles often covers the hardware in 12–18 months.
- 02
After-hours protection
Small offices and light industrial sites are frequent break-in targets. Visible cameras plus remote alerts deter most opportunistic theft and give evidence when something does happen.
- 03
Liability
Same slip-and-fall and employee dispute defense as retail — video ends weak claims before they grow.
- 04
Simple scope, fast math
Fewer doors and cameras than a warehouse or campus means lower system cost — so breakeven usually arrives sooner when the design matches the site.
Ranges below come from common industry reports and owner feedback — your site, insurance carrier, and operation will differ. We size systems to the property, not to a brochure.
